NSW Lotteries release selling location of $20 million OZ Lotto prize in an effort to find winner
NSW Lotteries is still on the hunt for the $20 million mystery division one winner from Tuesday night’s OZ Lotto draw who still hasn’t claimed their multimillion dollar prize.
The question is – who is he or she?
In a strange twist to what should be a joyous story, the winner has not yet claimed their $20 million prize.
“This is the biggest unclaimed prize we have ever had in New South Wales,” NSW Lotteries CEO Bill Thorburn said.
“In an effort to track down our lucky $20 million winner we are now releasing the exact selling location of the winning ticket, in the hope it will prompt the winner to check their ticket and come forward to claim their prize.”
The OZ Lotto $20 million winning ticket from draw, number 865 drawn on Tuesday 14 September, was purchased from NewsXpress Castle towers at Shop 268, Level 2, 6 – 14 Castle Street, Castle Hill.
To date NSW Lotteries officials withheld the exact location the ticket was purchased to give the unregistered player a chance to check their entry and claim their prize. However, as the prize remains unclaimed NSW Lotteries officials have released the selling location today in the hope that this information will assist in finding the winner.
“It’s amazing to think that someone out there has won enough money to completely change their life yet are oblivious to the fact they are a multi millionaire,” Mr Thorburn said.
“The $20 million winner has until 1 December 2016 to claim their prize, but we are certainly hoping that they won’t wait that long,” he added.
The winning entry was not purchased using a NSW Lotteries Players Club card, so lottery officials have no way of contacting the ticket holder.

Sydney OZ Lotto players encouraged to check tickets for $20 million prize
A lucky player who purchased their OZ Lotto entry in a North-Western Sydney suburb has picked up $20 million in last night’s draw.
NSW Lotteries officials are withholding the exact location the ticket was purchased to give the unregistered player a chance to check their entry away from the glare of publicity.
“This entry was not purchased using a NSW Lotteries Players Club card, so we have no details about the winner, and it is likely that they are also unaware of their good fortune,” NSW Lotteries PR Manager, Elissa Lewis said today.
“Had they registered their ticket, we could have called them early this morning with the news that they’re now $20 million richer.”
NSW Lotteries is calling on anyone who purchased a ticket in last night’s OZ Lotto draw to check their entry. If they think they have the winning ticket they should contact NSW Lotteries on 1300 363 444.
“It’s possible that the winner is walking around completely unaware that he or she is carrying the equivalent of $20 million cash,” Ms Lewis added.
Ms Lewis said that NSW Lotteries was hoping to emulate the success of its campaign in April of this year to contact the $30 million OZ Lotto winners who purchased their entry at the Sydney suburb of Ashfield.
“Ironically, the $30 million winning couple were prompted to check their OZ Lotto entry after they heard on the radio, while at a cafĂ©, that NSW Lotteries was looking for a winner from the Inner-West,” Ms Lewis said.
The winning numbers in OZ Lotto’s $20 million draw, number 865, are 25, 34, 41, 18, 24, 29 and 23 with the supplementaries 38 and 37.
