One feature of the interior design of a multi-story home that I find very interesting are the stairs leading up to the next floor. You have so many options when it comes to the design of your stairs. You have to think about size, shape, and material just to name a few.
You can also add a lot of detail to the stairs in multiple ways. I love that the railing of these stairs are made out of a different material than the actual steps are made up. Another plus to this set of stairs is all of the detailing that the railing has. I love all of the entricate curving of the metal.
I love the way this set of stairs curve against the wall it is beside. This creates a little get-a-way spot underneath the stairs for a chair and lamp. To me this would be the ultimate spot to get away from everyone else to talk on the phone, read, or to just get a quiet moment to yourself.
I love the spiral design of this staircase. Spiral staircases happen to be my favorite. In my future home I believe I would want this kind of design for my staircase.
I also find this staircase very interesting. Not only does it provide entrance to the upper level, it serves a second purpose as a bookcase. I think this is an interesting an unique idea. Since I love to read I am always looking for somewhere to store my books.
