I was recently asked for my opinion on how someone should dress for a black tie event. Black tie designates the event as a formal occasion in which the men will be dressed in tuxedos. Women should wear floor length evening gowns or evening separates. Shorter dresses are usually considered semi-formal however, cocktail dresses can be worn for daytime events or cocktail receptions. I've pulled together a few black tie ready looks that I love. This lovely gown is a beautiful purple tone with short detailed sleeves, a sash to tie around the waist, and a deep V neck.
